Vieve Lip Dew

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Well, what a great introduction to a brand. Vieve is the collection from make up artist and on-line creator Jamie Genevieve and its my first time with anything from her product line. Lip Dew couldn’t have been a more perfect choice because it’s exactly the kind of lustred and cushiony gloss that I love.

Vieve Lip Dew

There’s a lot that similar in feel to Clarins Lip Oil with Lip Dew although it’s a long time since I’ve tried the Clarins version. The colour selection is not the same – Dew is not transparent in the bottle in the way that Clarins is and from memory, it gives a bit more in the way of pigment although both are very sheer on the lip.

Lip Dew is vanilla-ish in fragrance although you don’t really notice once it’s on the lip – actually, I had to check it was vanilla because it smelled a little bit floral to me. In the wear, it’s very comfortable – you feel that perhaps it’s going to be gloopy but that’s not the case at all – the oil (including raspberry seed and Vitamin E) gives the formula an airiness that feels just right. The brush is wonderful – a real lip hugger that glides seamlessly leaving the perfect amount of colour.

There are four shades of which I have three. From bottom to top, it’s Rosa (neutral pink), Pesca (peach) and Cherub (milky bubblegum). The missing one is clear but they’ve all got additional lustre which means they give an incredible, light reflective gleam. If you like gloss, I can’t see what’s not to like here – lovely, fresh and easy. Vieve Lip Dews are £17 each HERE.

Hi Jane, just checking if that order of shades is correct – the middle one looks more peachy to me, but it wouldn’t be the first time a make-up brand made me do a double-take at their shade naming…These sound lovely so I intend to buy the one that looks (to me) like a gorgeous muted rose, and want to be sure I have the right one! Thank you, Jo 🙂

You are right Jo, thank you for flagging. I made so many mistakes yesterday and thank goodness people catch them for me :-)))

I have the clear version, I actually didn’t think I’d love it as much as I do. It’s slightly glittery but looks great on the lips and feels really nice. I always thought of clear gloss as boring but the Vieve lip dew is a staple and just has that extra wow factor. Really keen to try the coloured versions.

It’s the extra luminescence that makes the difference I think 🙂
