Vichy LiftActiv Supreme #spons

Other than for texture trials, I’ve been exclusively using the new Vichy LiftActiv Supreme on my face. Vichy calls it their new generation of anti-ageing skicare.

It’s a funny thing, but Vichy decided to research what happens to your skin throughout the day (predominantly for 45+). Clinicals involving 1800 women showed that as the day progresses, so does dullness, lines (particularly around the mouth – which I heard called ‘Lions folds’ the other day – urgh!) and skin sagging. Vichy calls it over-day ageing. I called it knackered face. It is absolutely the truth that the older you get, the more ‘tired looking’ you can seem as the day progresses. If my face stayed as sprightly til midnight as it starts off, I’d be happy! I’m not sure that I completely buy the over-day ageing concept as a whole, but I think that Vichy has hit on something. Until you start to age, you don’t actually realise how different you can look from one end of the day to the other.

At this early stage of testing, what I can certainly say is that Vichy LiftActiv Supreme is a one-stop hydration shop. I put some on in the morning, and then in the evening, and I don’t have even a hint of dryness. Two friends have commented that my skin looks glowy. I was hugely reluctant to give up my normal facial oil and put my faith in no oil or serum or any of the face fancies that I might normally slap on at random because I didn’t expect one thing to do everything. But so far, it has. I’m also in absolutely no doubt that my skin has a new strength to it. If you use an oil, your skin gets very soft – it’s lovely and velvety – but personally, I find that while it feels and looks divine, it doesn’t help with any firming. Vichy LiftActiv Supreme has made my skin feel firmer, although I can’t say I am seeing results yet of looking morning fresh at midnight!

I’m going to be doing two more posts on this product as I go along with it – and in my next post, I’ll explain why my face tastes likes caramel! Vichy LiftActive Supreme is £31 HERE.

In France, lion lines (rides de lion) are the 11 lines between your eyebrows.
