[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I think I’ve made this phenomenal body exfoliator look a bit apologetic but trust me, it’s good. It’s a mix of enzymatic and physical exfoliants but the physical element is very minimal – glycolic acid is doing the bulk of the work I think. I use several different body exfoliators (and mitts) because I have bumpy skin – mainly on my thighs now rather than arms so I like to think I have a good knowledge of what’s out there. This is hands down the best so far.
Verso is a Swedish brand – so far, I haven’t really got along with their skin care… there’s nothing wrong with it, it just hasn’t resonated, but I was blown away by the peel. AHA, PHA and BHA acids all sound punchy but the feel of it on the skin is very mild. Crucially, instructions are to leave it on your body for two to three minutes before rinsing off so that the acids actually have time to work at getting rid of dead skin. I didn’t like hanging about the chilly bathroom starkers but if I’d thought about it I could have turned the heating up a bit. I used SLMD Glycolic Acid Body Lotion afterwards (HERE) and the smooth feeling (and look) lasted for days. It’s expensive (and not on offer anywhere because it’s so new) at £55 so unless you need your whole body smooth and slippery as a seal, it’s perfect for tops of arms and legs as well as shins. The bottle is 150ml so personally, I’m sparing it for the bits that show. I used it on my chest actually, and while it’s not somewhere I focus on exfoliating, could really see a difference in brightness – maybe because it’s not a place I exfoliate very often, but nonetheless, the result was impressive.
