[unpaid/purchase/affiliate] I wasn’t going to post these sale jeans til the end of the week but wasn’t sure when the sales finish. I also noticed when I mentioned the strapless bra that has been my staple for years last week, there were a lot of click throughs on the link so I thought I’d explain in properly and why I like it.

Uniqlo

I’ve had Uniqlo jeans before and liked them but I absolutely LOVE these black ones because they have exactly the right amount of stretch. I always seem to fall between sizes and lo and behold, they had size 29s so I snapped them up to wear with the cream top that you see (also in the sale but not on-line that I can find).

Uniqlo

I can wear them with anything, and personally, I like a little knee rip but you can get them without. They were reduced from £35 to £19 HERE and there are some sizes still left but nothing above 29. The rise on ‘mid rise’ is actually a bit higher than I’d think of as mid – it easily hits above my belly button but just before the waist. I need to take them up a little bit because they’re not ankle length (which is my normal length!) but they’re a good reminder how comfy Uniqlo jeans are and how good the fit is. Even at non-sale, I don’t think £35 is a lot really for good jeans. I notice though that the new season has ankle length in every size (except 29!!) HERE.

Wacoal Strapless

So, to the Wacoal strapless bra. This is my new one that arrived at the end of last week – it’s exactly the same as the old nude shade but I’m a little bit horrified at how different the colours are even though at one time the old one must have been as pristine as this. You can see that this isn’t padded – it’s a natural form fit which I really like and sits almost like a bandeau except it’s more sophisticated in that follows where you naturally curve and has a wire support at at the bottom of the cups. At the top of the cup there’s a grip strip at the top (you don’t really feel it). It’s about as secure as you can feel in any strapless bra – I’ve never fallen out (it covers quite high up the breast) and never popped out while raising my arms either. It’s extremely comfortable in the wearing and the only reason I’ve got a new one is that I needed a back size up but I must have had it for ten years and it still does the job! Sizes start at 32B and go up to a 36E although it doesn’t go up further than that. I have one in all three shades – white, black and buff but the black and the buff are the ones I wear most and the buff is the one I’ve replaced although I will replace the black. You can wear the buff under a white t-shirt although bear in mind it is lacy so you might need a nipple flower – I never have personally – but mainly I wear them under strappy tops or dresses. These bras always come on holiday with me when it’s too warm to wear a bra top (I live in those mainly) and the bra comes with some affixable straps if you suddenly lose the faith!  I got mine from John Lewis, £36 HERE. John Lewis has got an excellent bra fitting guide HERE.
