[unpaid/sample] I’m getting emails already about products launching in February/March and while they’re not useful for today, they have made me think about what would be cheering in February. If you are all done on your Christmas shopping (mine was completed yesterday!) but like to think ahead, the Trish McEvoy Easy Lip Trio is something to consider. It’s available now but only at the counters in Selfridges and Liberty but will appear on line at some point.
The thing with the frosted tube, lovely as it is, is that you don’t really get an idea of the power of the colour inside. You’ll find a Shape & Enhance Lip Liner in Barely Nude so you can line your lips in a neutral shade to keep the borders even. The Easy Lip Colour in Vixen, a red/pink is a dream – really my kind of colour – although I found the Lip Gloss a bit too pigmented, even for me.
If you love a power lip, this kit is for you. Both the lipstick and the gloss are really comfortable in the wear – both feeling lightweight, don’t have any particular fragrance that I can ascertain and that neutral lip liner will be endlessly useful. Because it’s Trish, the formulas have more than they need in the way of peptides and oils so you’ll get some smoothing and hydration as well. If you’re a Trish McEvoy fan, you won’t be disappointed and you’ll share my pain that this is not yet on-line. You can call Selfridges (good luck with that) and be put through to the Trish counter or you can message (on Instagram) Becca, their chief make up artist (lovely) HERE and she will happily take payment over the phone and mail out to you.
Wearing Vixen lipstick. I’ll update when Vixen lipstick goes on sale because it’s really lovely, especially for summer. The set is £54.
