Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon Palette

I’ve got a bit of a love-hate thing going on with the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon Palette – it sort of feels old before it’s even launched. Particularly in light of the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette that’s launching for summer that seems much more exciting and interesting. You can see it HERE. The Bon Bon Palette is the third chocolate scented palette from Too Faced (yes, of course it smells chocolately – but it’s also infused with cocoa powder) and is has launched into Debenhams for £39. I like that they include suggested looks, and the colours are very pretty.

All the eye shades are swatched above, with the two highlight shades below.

There’s nothing wrong with the quality of these shadows – beautifully soft in an Urban Decay-ish way and easy to work with… I just feel chocolate overload might have happened. Would you buy it?

I LOVE the Chocolate bar pallete and bought the milk chocolate version with the hype and never really reach for it so skipped this as it is much of the same. The peach one though? Yes that will be mine!! But am I the only one who hates the chocolate smell?!? I love chocolate as much as the next person but at 6am it is not a welcome smell 🙁 I also like the look of the peanut butter and jelly pallete but every time I remember that it smells like peanut butter I gag!

I don’t like the smell particularly.. but I like peanut butter so maybe that will be one that I like better!

This looks lovely. I received the original Chocolate Palette for Christmas and can’t stop smelling it, not sure this is different enough to add to my collection though 🙂

  3. This one actually is one of the few palettes of its type that I would get cause all the colours are what I am looking for, but I can’t stand the artificial chocolatey smell.

There is already so much YouTube hype around this palette….and I have made some horrendous purchases due to YouTube hype! I’m so glad that you’ve done a very measured review on these – seeing the swatches it makes me realise that this isn’t a palette that I will buy….it is nothing out of the ordinary. And boy do I hate the fake chocolate smell. However, I am very excited by the Peach palette. It looks very exciting and I can’t wait to hear what you think about it….

I have heard that many prefer this palette over the other Chocolate Bar palettes, but to me the colours look very similar to each other and almost boring. Also, although the packaging is cute I don’t think you get a lot of eyeshadow as the pans look quite small? I am a huge fan of their Matte eye palette though. It is divine.

  6. I like the quality of TooFaced eyeshadows on swatching but I don’t end up buying them. The chocolate smell is just a bit too strong for me. I love these colour swatches but I wish the packaging wasn’t so twee/naff – the hearts just look a bit dated to me. But I can imagine for a younger person getting into makeup that this palette might be more exciting than the Urban Decay or Marc Jacobs palettes (for example). Love your reviews!

  7. When I set eyes on this palette online I fell in love. It’s not released in Australia yet, so plenty of time to fall out of love. Perhaps when I smell it! I don’t own any of the other chocolate bar palettes, but I sure do own plenty of other neutral palettes. I think the crazy cute packaging did crazy things to my brain and there is something about that fuchsia colour ‘totally fetch’ that captures my imagination.

I love too faces eyeshadows, on par with urban decay for me… and out of the three chococlate palettes this one would be the one I would get. BUT why the bright pinks? It just seems not to fit with the rest of the lovely dramatic neutrals. Maybe it’s just me!
