Don’t worry – we’re not heading for a Fifty Shades session; it’s far too hot for a start! Every noticed that grown up hair ties are few and far between? Us too. We’re so long past hair bobbles that we can’t even remember wearing them, and yet the only other options are apologetic bands that are little more than an upgraded piece of elastic that the postman leaves all over your doorstep. We’re all about a messy bun (you don’t need an stylist for this one!) and sometimes it’s a question of just grabbing your hair and flipping it into an updo and letting any uncaptured strands do what they will. So lovely, and so cool on the back of the neck.
The black, faux leather arrow hair tie above from Kitsch is a sign of things to come – more sophisticated and exciting than a multi-pack of elastic ties from Boots, it also doubles as a very cool bracelet, too. This one doesn’t go on sale until September, but we’ve found a rather lovely alternative from Central St Martins graduate, Deepa Gurnani, for ASOS. It’s £12 worth of tying it up in style.
