Yesterday I went to the Tommyguns salon on Regent Street to meet up with the folks from the Filthy Gorgeous nail salon located in the basement. Filthy Gorgeous collaborated with Gareth Pugh on a look for his show with Marian Newman creating a really messed up French mani for the Gareth Pugh show – ash-tray grey with a ragged moon and sticky stuff for a destructuring effect.
Now, there’s no way I can emulate that talent, so I’ve had a little go at a kind of dirty French mani using FG in Blah, a lime green, FG in Bebee (a really smoky grey) and FG in Prism (a holo). I think it kind-of works..I’m not sure.. but I’m quite pleased with it as a first effort. I want to experiment with other colours and get the moon really smudgy untidy.

Now that’s some nail art I could easily create on myself seeing as my usual attempts at putting just one colour on turn out like that 😀
Oh my god no! My inner neat freak is freaking OUT. I am so dull I know but this sets my teeth on edge, give me neat every time!
i expected something more filthy than that 🙂 xx

Love it. I actually prefer yours, I like the green and the rocky edging 🙂 xx
Awwh I love those colours! Super Gorgeous together!
haha now that’s a french that i can do! even free-handed 😉 i think it looks rather like a messy half-moon ruffian, though!
Sorry, I think it’s utterly awful.
I prefer the one that you’ve done!
