Ok, so I am definitely two different shades; a dark golden brown on legs with a more subtle shade on my arms. I kicked off with Australian Gold Forever Bronze in shade Medium/Dark. This delivers a very fine spray (so do it in the shower cubicle) and contains moisturising Aloe and Vitamin E. The spray took roughly 20 seconds and the tan started to develop very quickly. No tell tale marks on the bedlinen, either, which is a huge plus. Despite the fact it says ‘light, fresh scent’ on the can, under the floral overtones I did detect the smallest whiff of the tell tale tan aroma. But, it’s nothing compared to Elemis Total Glow Self Tanning Cream that smells very strongly. Despite the impressive ingredient list of macademia nut oil, amino acids and Vitamin E, it didn’t moisturise as sumtuously as you might expect. That said, it gave a good, completely streak free gentle tan and as long as you can put up with the smell, it’s a perfect starter tan for light skinned people. Australian Gold Medium-Dark really is for those with darker tones or a good tan already.
