Take One Bauble….

When you’ve got lots of gifts to give – the office, your book club or teachers, it’s time to get creative to save your bank balance. I picked up some loose, clear, fillable baubles (from Tiger) that came to £1 each (look on Amazon – there are loads) and a packet of iridescent shreds, also £1.

I chucked in a few silver stars that I’ve had hanging around and a £1 Makeup Revolution Lipstick (perfectly good) and there you have it – a gift that costs around £2.10 to make and looks beautiful.

In this one, I’ve used a Clinique Sweet Pot (but insert lipbalm or eyeshadow) and a little gingerbread man (Tesco – £1-ish per box of loads) to nestle in the shreds.

I found some fabric snowflakes (£1 for 6 at Tiger) but you can use lace, felt stars or any piece of festive fabric (or stuff it with some gold ribbon) and popped one on either side of the bauble.

I’ve used a MAC lipstick here because it’s festively red, but it’s not particularly about the contents – it’s just about having five minutes to spare, some empty baubles and some shreds! Other ideas for fillings are some retro bubble gum and a sassy coloured gloss pot, or some small scented soaps (split a guest pack), or even little bath bombs. Anyway… you get the general idea.
