Ok, well I’ve just had a sticky session in the bedroom – hold back, ladies – it was in the purest possible sense! I’ve regularly used wax strips to keep things tidy in the bikini area, as well as epilating, but as I am fast realising that epilators are only causing trouble instead of solving, I need to look for other hair removal methods. Sugar Strip Ease is remarkably fuss free – just shove the pot of natural sugar solution in the microwave, grab your strips and spatula and you’re ready to do the deed. I found the sugar didn’t need to be too hot either – it can be done at an almost luke warm temperature and needs to be the consistency of runny honey. What I liked about the solution is that it isn’t perfumed or anything, and is runny without being gloopy. I’ll confess that I didn’t have any talc as recommended to apply first so I improvised with ELF High Definition Powder which did the job and left a gorgeous radiant…no, no it didn’t really! If I am nit-picking, I’d say that the strips allowed the sugar solution to soak through so I got sticky hands, but on the upside, unlike wax, you just wash your hands and it melts away. Warm water is all you need to get rid of all traces. It feels virtually the same as wax when you whip off the strip – except I didn’t experience any sting afterwards – a mild tingle is as far as I could go. I like the concept, I like the ease of use and thorough instructions, and most of all think the price is very competitive at £9.99. www.sugarstripease.com

This stuff looks really good. I’ve never tried sugaring before but for £9.99 it’s worth a shot. Is it easy to do?
