I’ve been so busy with work lately that the pile of products to review is starting to make me feel panicky! So, a speed review that covers the main points for the above brands seems to be the only way I can get them out there without having a total meltdown. Here goes:

Revlon Matte Ultra Luxurious Colour Kohl Eyeliner in Very Violet: This vivid light purple liner has been my absolute favourite since I had my lash extensions put on. It makes eyes pop against the black of the lashes and I’ve had as many comments on the liner as I have on the lashes. Although there is no shimmer in it, the colour is so deep and striking that it looks as lively and vibrant as any shimmery liner. Love it.

Nars Orgasm Blush: As the last beauty writer in the world, seemingly, to have tried this famous blush, I’ll probably be the only beauty writer not to like it all that much. Very peachy, very sparkly and seems a little bit Krystal Carrington to me.

Sonia Kashuk: A mixed tale here….I tried the eyeshadow duo in A Perfect Match, a golden champagne shade and silky brown/bronze. Although the colours are pretty and apply really well, I found the shimmer particles in the champagne shade were all that was left by the end of the day. The colour didn’t stay the course, while the glitter did – not a good result. However, I also tried the Large Eyeshadow Brush…easily one of the best I’ve ever used: supersoft, picks up plenty of colour and blends beautifully. No wonder she is famous for them.
