There are a lot of really, really rubbish brow styling kits around.. this isn’t one of them. In fact, it’s probably one of the nicest that I’ve seen. The packaging is very sleek, and the brush is long enough to get decent grip without feeling you are playing with dolls’ toys. It’s available in 3 colour-ways, and depending upon how you apply the powder, you can go super-brow, low-key brow or anything in between. When it launches in October it will cost £25.
With six new Lacquer Rouge shades and ten new Perfect Rouge shades, these are ridiculously lovely in texture. It made me think about when you bite into a particularly delicious chocolate and go ‘ooh’.. that’s the feel on the skin. However, Lacquer Rouge (like a satin finish liquid lipstick) is a bit too clingy on the lip for my liking – it somehow made them look even more crinkled than they are. Perfect Rouge is another story – no wonder as it has hyaluronic acid in it which is a blessing for any skin! The two shades I have here are Blush in Perfect Rouge, and Caramel in Lacquer Rouge.
Three new Luminizing Satin Eye Color Palettes will arrive in October, including the genius, Into The Woods, that includes a violet shade with the gold and bronze metallic. It should jar against them but it doesn’t… The other palettes are Nude and Lido (blues).
The palettes will cost £35.
Two new concealer shades join the AW party – I used this yesterday and was impressed that it didn’t do (on me) what so many others do and seep into lines and wrinkles. It gave a good coverage – and it’s made to an oil resistant formula so if you are covering blemishes on oily skin there is a better chance of it staying put for longer. It’s not a new product – only the colours are new but I hadn’t tried it before… wish I had.
