Sephora 2011: Hello Kitty

Okay, so Hello Kitty fans are going to be delighted with next year’s offerings from Sephora. Think super-bling and nothing like MAC’s take on making the kitty chic by keeping packaging black. This is a whole other thing heading to Sephora. Think Kitty shaped nail varnish pots in rainbow colours, a crystal encrusted necklace, a chunky silver hand mirror and several colour palettes. It’s all very, very sparkly is all I can tell you! There aren’t any official images yet – it launches in January, but in the meantime, here’s a picture of the Hello Kitty 50th Year Anniversary fragrance in collaboration with Demeter Fragrances. I quote, “This Sanrio signature fragrance was inspired by the yummy scent of a Sanrio store with a delectable pairing of yummy fruit flavored gum and sweet scented erasers. Now we can all smell like a Sanrio Store.” Er, ok.

Sephora are also looking at the new trend shade Honeysuckle for their own brand make up – see the very sneaky shot here featuring orangey corals.

I don’t really get the hello kitty craze. I did kinda like the hello kitty taser gun because there was something quite special about a pink fluffy weapon but I don’t know, doesn’t do it for me. I am however a fan of brightly coloured packages. It’s the main reason I spend so much money on cosmetics!

  2. Not into Hello Kitty, but loving the sound of honeysuckle as a new shade!
