Sculpted By Aimee Sun Mist SPF50 Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I really love a sun mist – probably one of the most useful products to have at any time of year but particularly the summer. You’re probably wondering how such a fine mist can have an SPF rating of 50 and that’s because you need to reapply every two hours.  However, what we forget about facial SPFs is that they also, for maximum efficacy, need reapplying regularly and if you’re a make-up wearer, that’s totally impractical on a day to day basis.

Sculpted By Aimee Sun Mist SPF50 Review

The good thing about Sun Mist from Sculpted by Aimee is that it goes over make up almost imperceptibly (don’t forget your neck and chest) so sneaky top-ups are easy. You will get a little bit of sheen initially, but that wears down. It’s an ideal desk drawer essential – lunches outside, walks to meetings and so on – the easiest possible way to get a protective boost. It’s made to be worn over Sculpted by Aimee make up so it’s completely compatible with that and won’t create make up pilling, but you’ll need to test it properly on whatever you have at home because not all foundation formulas are made equal.

Sculpted By Aimee Sun Mist SPF50 Review

Sculpted By Aimee Sun Mist SPF50 is exactly the sort of product I’d spritz over before going into the garden for end of the day drinks or to actually do some gardening (unlikely, but you never know..), or even just take it on a walk with Dora for the days when a quick walk turns into bumping into someone and stopping for coffee then, before you know it, the morning is gone. Keep it in your handbag, your office drawer, by the back/front door or anywhere you can easily reach for it. Every two hours for any SPF is a big ask but it’s made much easier with a mist. The Sculpted By Aimee Sun Mist SPF50 is £19 HERE.

Does it effect mascara? Mists I’ve used over makeup before have always left my mascara everywhere my lashes catch my face?

That’s a very good point – I didn’t see any disruption to my (Sweed) mascara but it might react with others.

This seems like such a useful thing, so often I get caught out when a gloomy day turns sunny.

      exactly this Catherine 🙂

I have very oily skin..do you think this will leave me feeling greasy or is it more mattifying?

    1. Jane Cunningham

It’s got a mattifying element so I don’t think it will leave you feeling greasy but oil levels are different for everyone so you may need something that’s extra mattifying.
