Rituals Organic White Lotus & Yi Yi Ren

Rituals Tao
Rituals Tao

The name of this product made me laugh a bit – it sounds like a new band; “Organic White Lotus & Yi Yi Ren topping the charts with their cover version of….”. Basically, it’s part of the updated Tao range from Rituals, that’s all about relaxation and peace of mind.

At the end of the day, I know it’s pretty much all spin, but I love something that puts the idea of relaxing and chilling out into our minds. It’s one part of beauty marketing I don’t object to because if it’s the one thing that makes you take some time out, then the job is done.

The scent of white lotus and Yi Yi Ren is tranquil; hard to describe though other than sweetly green, fresh, cottony and comforting. Yi Yi Ren is a Chinese herb – I’ve never smelled it in real life so no idea whether this is an accurate representation, but you might have heard of it as ‘seeds of Job’s tears’ and nobody want’s to bathe in those, right?

The bath foam is £13.50 – money well spent if it sets you drifting off to calmness; I love the fragrance and it’s tempting not to put the whole lot in my next bath for a peace overload! You can find it HERE.

Rituals of Tao (or Dao) is the best! Unfortunately Rituals discontinued that line and I am so disappointed!
Rituals suggested using the Karma or Jing line but they are not the same as Dao/Tao at all.
I have even looked into buying essential oils of white lotus & Job’s tears to recreate the scent but have not found these ingredients as of yet.

That’s a shame when your favourite gets discontinued.
