[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Well, this summer has been a challenge for hair amongst many other things! Because I haven’t been going out in the same way, the need for my hair to look nice hasn’t been as great as at other times and I really don’t miss putting on a full face and desperately trying to get my hair into some sort of smooth order. However, while I haven’t been going out, I have been trying to do more Instagram videos which isn’t my comfort zone but it’s becoming less of a challenge. And for that, a quick slick of Rita Hazan’s Smoothing Creme does the trick in helping me to work the hedge backwards look.
Over the years I’ve tried many, many frizz tamers with greater and lesser success but this seems so effortless compared to past attempts. When I think about it now I wonder why I put so much effort in but it seemed to matter at the time. You just add a blob to the palm of your hands, rub them together and apply the lightweight creme before you start your blow dry. However, I’ve found it equally useful to do exactly the same with a slightly lesser amount on dry hair when the humidity strikes. It seems to give a decent shine boost too, but more so using it before the blow dry. I’ve had a quick look to see if there is a handbag size which there doesn’t seem to be but I’d be putting it into my tote with the same enthusiasm as my hand sanitizer if that was the case.
I’m already a big fan of a couple of Rita products – the Weekly Treatment, £34 HERE, which I don’t use every week but save for when my hair really, really needs to look good because it softens and shines up like you’ve been to the salon, and the hard to get Root Concealer (I was an early fan, bringing it home with me from New York at least 8 years ago). Last summer I let my greys just do their thing but when winter came, I felt like covering them and now, sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. Depends on the mood of the day really. But, it’s in stock (£20) HERE. Smoothing Creme is £22 HERE, non-affiliate link is HERE.
