Over at Lovely’s Vintage Emporium are pictures of a limited edition run of Revlon Dolls. Back in the 1950’s, the Revlon Dolls were sold to promote the beauty brand and hopefully move consumers back to ideal of glamour lost in the war years. They are now, of course, keenly sought after by collectors but a US doll company has produced a limited edition run of 500 hand painted dolls, set to also be a doll-collector’s dream. Is it me or were some of the promotions from years past streaks ahead of what they are today?
I wonder if someone one’s grandmother has some these little beauties, long since forgotten, tucked away in an attic.
