Quartz Spa Happiness Blend

Quartz Spa Happiness Blend

Ooh this is so lovely! Quartz Spa is a new aromatherapy brand (from the makers of Crystal Clear skin care). It’s based around three main aspects – Hope, Happiness and Energy. I could do with all three to be honest. A lot of aromachology and aromatherapy experts say that you’re drawn to what you need at a particular time and I have to say that Happiness was my immediate pick. It’s not that I’m not happy but I find winter time a challenge – thinking about a long, dark February day where it’s cold and sleeting and how you have to really try and wring one drop of joy out of a day like that!

On days like that, it’s the little things that count. Happiness is a blend of Sweet Orange, Grapefruit and Lemon with Geranium and Sandalwood. So, it’s both zesty and energising, as well as quite earthy and grounding. It really is just a happy fragrance. I’m a huge fan of aromatherapy: I’ve used it enough to know that it can have incredible effects on mood and outlook. Even if it doesn’t touch everyone in the same way, the point of doing something positive for yourself is not missed and even that can lift you. I roll out this tip every winter I think but it’s something I still do and it works – pop some drops of oil onto a wet flannel (wring it.. it doesn’t want to be dripping!) and pop it on your radiator last thing at night. When the heating kicks back in in the morning, the heat makes the aromatherapy oil active so you wake to a gorgeously scented room. I like to use it in the bathroom.

Quartz Spa isn’t the cheapest way to do this (you can source an individual oil more cheaply), I do love the kick of the Happiness blend and feel there is something extra to it. It’s £18.50 HERE.
