Phyto 7 Daily Hydrating Botanical Cream

My dry hair adores silicones and usually is only happy when I’ve poured a good slug of Moroccan Oil or similar over it so I was quite apprehensive to try this traditional hair ‘cream’ that has been around for 40 years. It’s got seven natural plant extracts: mallow, soybean, burdock, rosemary, sage, calendula and willow (but smells remarkably like a generic face cream) to smooth and hydrate the hair. So simple to use – just dot a pea sized amount into the palm of your hand and rub hands together then through your hair, paying attention to dry ends – it really did do the job of keeping my hair smooth and tangle free. It doesn’t look dry at all. This is a new favourite and as the box doesn’t list any silicone ingredients, I’ll assume it is silicone free.

If your hair is super-dry, there is also Phyto 9, that adds some oil into the mix making it heavier. I’d say you could get away with Phyto 7 on normal or even slightly oily hair if you are working it into dry ends. Three days after washing, blow drying and straightening, my hair is still behaving itself…something of a miracle.

I also have dry hair. I lately discovered Superbly Smoothing Argan Conditioner by Kiehl’s and absoulately love it. It is Silicone and Paraben-Free.
