Paul & Joe Holiday 2021

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Like many brands, it’s a pared back Holiday for Paul & Joe but they’ve definitely made the less-is-more option count for them.

Paul & Joe Holiday 2021

Here come the cats again! This time Paul & Joe Beaute has given them a Santa hat to make them thoroughly festive although kept the cases more generic so you can fill them with any other P& J lipsticks if Santa doesn’t float your boat. These were sent as complete but all Paul & Joe lipsticks are interchangeable with other colours so if you have a particular favourite case you can just keep refilling it. That’s always been the way with this brand who, as it turns out, were ahead of the game on refillables.

One of the lipsticks (in the cat tube) is a very pretty red-pink – juicy, semi-translucent (it’s shade Ruban De Noel,) and an easy wear for all tones. The other shade, Bouquet De Noël, is equally for all because it’s translucent with a hint of orange and a pearly aspect so you can wear it as a topper on any other colour to give it some sheen or you can wear alone on nude lips. They’re £22 each.

As well as the two limited edition lipsticks, there are two limited edition hand creams – one Silky and one Moisturising. The difference between the two is that Silky has a water-repelling silicone oil for moisture sealing and is for you if you are dipping in and out of water a lot, while Moisturising is a richer texture barrier cream for extra dry or sensitive to weather hands. They have a generic floral scent that’s light but pleasing and they’re £14 each. Cat friends will thank you every day for the red version :-). These are scheduled for a November 1st launch but it may well be earlier as the advent calendar launch was moved forward.

This is Ruban de Noel swatched – you can’t really see Bouquet de Noel in swatching because it is so transparent so I left it off.

Hello Jane – are you aware of a site called Fyne Fettle? Came across it today when looking for Paul and Joe – their review of the Holiday 21 collection (inc swatches!) looked verrrrrry familiar …..

Yes I am – thank you so much for flagging though. It’s because I have an open feed in order to serve a newsletter via email which means that people can tap into it and take the content. However, Google hates duplicate content, will know the source site (me) and hopefully penalise them with poor rankings and search. It is the most difficult process to get these taken down so I’ve sort of given up doing it because it’s so time consuming. x
