[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Since I changed my hair colour, I’m on an absolute mission to find the best shampoos that bring out the greys and brighten the blondes. I have a mix of grey, blonde and brown in very fine layers and it’s an absolute pain to keep the greys sharp. They’re there because I want them there so I’m not content to let the layers merge into a homogenous blonde colour, so with the mission in mind, I tried Osmo Super Ice Brightening Shampoo from Sally Beauty (after the Ameliorate Transforming Scalp Serum) with Living Proof Weightless Mask as my conditioner and finally, Osmo Blinding Shine Serum.
When you pour the Osmo Super Ice Brightening Shampoo into your hand, it’s the deepest possible inky purple/blue. It foams beautifully and bearing in mind that I was washing out the Ameliorate Serum, did a spectacular cleansing job first time around. I did a second wash for good measure and left it to sit for a minute or two before rinsing away.
Living Proof’s Weightless Mask deserves a mention (especially as Sephora has it for £32 instead of £38 HERE) as it’s a trusty favourite that conditions beautifully and rinses out so easily that it’s a joy to use (I absolutely hate hard to rinse products). That was my conditioner after the Osmo shampoo.
I finished off before blow drying with Osmo Blinding Shine Serum – you need only the tiniest bit so I see this bottle as almost a lifetime’s worth! It’s very hard to put shine on blonde/grey hair because there isn’t the pigment needed to reflect. However, in as much as my new hair colour can shine, it did. In fact, I was so impressed with the Osmo Ice shampoo and the serum that I’ve requested the conditioner to see if it ups the brightening even more.
So, I think you can see that there is a clear brightening – and the greys are being grey for a change! The serum gave my hair a superb softness and as much shine as I could hope for bearing in mind pigment etc. Osmo Super Ice Brightening Shampoo is £14.99 at Sally’s HERE, where there’s an offer to buy one, get one free (I would jump at this). The serum is sold out at Sally Beauty but I’ve found it HERE for £13.
