[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I think the last thing I wrote about before taking a break was magnesium infused bath products and I’m picking up again on the same thing, different end of the spectrum. If budget permits, then Oskia London Moon Salts are an absolute treat.
Ideally, you’d use these before bed as they do seem to have a soporific effect – even just sniffing them in the jar produces a yawn (I’m not joking – I’m literally yawning as I write!). As you’d expect, once the salts hit the water the aroma is diluted unless you chuck half the jar in (and at the price, I’m not about to do that) so I’d advise keeping a little pot to inhale by the side of the bath. It’s such a gorgeous, soothing milky-lavender scent.
That’s not to say the aroma disappears – it’s very much still there especially as the hot water runs – but I found myself craving a stronger hit. That said, I have the pot by my side and I’m sniffing as I write to keep the memory fresh and I am still yawning. The other thing you will find is that your skin doesn’t feel dry after bathing – I’m all for the salts you can buy in Boots but the downside is that you can feel a bit taut afterwards, especially if you opted for a mega-soak and prune fingers :-). Coconut milk makes the water cloudy and soft, and you’ll need a generous handful per bath – I am estimating that it’s 10 blissful baths. I’ve found an offer on the Oskia site (these salts are £65) that has a selection of mini products including the Moon Salts (one bath’s worth I think) for £28.50 HERE instead of £38 and the set has a value of £55 so it makes sense, if you think these are something you could get along with, to do a try-me. The set also includes a body milk and a face mask (all in a wash bag) so it’s a kind of down-time pamper pack. If you are happy to go large, the Moon Salts are HERE, £68.
