Origins Lip & Cheek Tint

Origins Lip & Cheek Tint

Origins! What are you doing? Suddenly, all these lovely make-up products! These are the Blooming Petal Floral Lip & Cheek Tints and they’re downright gorgeous. They’re decently priced at £20 each (although if you are reading today, Friday, there is an extra 15% off everything) and unusually, work well on both levels, as a dab of blush or a sheeny tint on the lips.

Origins Lip & Cheek Tint

Origins tends to steer clear of the common nasties (parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, propylene glycol, mineral oil, DEA, petrolatum, paraffin, polyethylene beads, formaldehyde) but it does use bees wax so may not be suitable for vegans (check with your vegan!). These tints are creamy in formula, using flower waxes to create the lightly balmy nature although to my mind, tint is too small a word for them – they’re not translucent and do deliver a decent level of colour.

The contents are slightly domed, so you could literally just dab to your cheek or lip – I used a brush for my lips (one of the few times I’d ever get a lip brush out these days) and then smooth the finish with a finger tip. Or you can whip a fluffy brush over the top and take straight to your cheeks from that. Up to you. Either way, I think these are just delightful – they do the job, they look divine and they’re (on offer) under £20. Nothing says gift-to-self more. Head HERE.

Whoops! I nearly forgot the swatch! First is Rosy Red, next is Peony Peach and last is Poppy Pink.

Aaah Jane! Happy sunny Friday to you. These are sooo cute, those dinky pots…great review. And will be another “BBB made me buy it” purchase! Xx

Perfect timing – I NEED one of these…I love a dual product but particularly love a creme blush (is it my imagination but they seem harder to find these days…particularly high st price point…, I tried in my local Boitsvthe other day and the assistant could only find me one by Max Factor…I bought it but it’s too sticky!). Any creme blushes I decide “this is the one” then seem to get discontinued…ByTerry, a fantastic Clarins one I’m sure you recommend and now my favourite MAC lip & cheek one… So as I said perfect timing…my search is over!

I much prefer creme blush – B at Superdrug does some nice ones. x

I’m going to get one of these and at least one lipstick – I used to love origins makeup back in the day!

But my favourite blushes are the Rituel de Fille ones (Cult Beauty) not cheap, but amazing colours and finish, plus grown up subtle cream highlighters for my 40 year old face!

  4. These are so cute and highly pigmented! Thank you for sharing this! I learned a lot from your blog. I hope you can check mine too. 🙂
