Ojon Rare Blend Oil

I love this oil from one of my favourite hair brands; I used to buy Ojon in the US long before it was available here (begging anyone going Stateside to buy me some!) and Ojon – particularly the Detox Shampoo – has remained a staple in my bathroom ever since.

This brand new oil (it’s out in the US already) is like a delicious, long, drink for undernourished hair, containing a blend of seven oils. I’m not a hair oil expert, but the rare blend oils certainly sound very exotic: Ojon Oil and Rouge Oleifera, marula, Kalahari melon, Ximenia, Kukui and Tahitian Monoi. Sounds like the perfect summer salad dressing actually.

I have tried the oil – at the launch I was shown exactly the amount to use and it is infinitesimal and that is the absolutely crucial thing. You literally tip the bottle against your fingertip (although I wish they had a dropper) and what ever is left when you’ve tipped the bottle back is what you put on your hair. If that isn’t quite enough, you can repeat the procedure, but I can’t stress enough that the amount you need is miniscule. So, the result of trying it (I ran my fingers through my hair thinking this really can’t do anything) and then someone kindly gave it a quick blow dry for me.. my hair was instantly sleeker. It really works.

Ojon Rare Blend Oil is £29 initially launching on QVC in September and then John Lewis and Harrods after that, although you will be able to get it on line.

Hair oils are one of my favourite things, I’ll definitely be purchasing this!

  2. £29 for a bottle is quite a lot, but if you really use that little and it helps to make your sleeker then I will definitely be looking into it!

I don’t really put my hair under much heat but it’s always a little frizzy once I’ve blow dried it.

I’ll be looking online for it in a few months, then!

It sounds amazing! Will definitely be trying this! Boo – don’t want to wait though! You’re right – it does sound like it would suit a good side salad!

Ooh, I just might have to try this! Usually I eschew storebought hair oils because they’re made with oils I can buy and combine myself for cheaper, but that’s not the case with this one. And Ojon conditioner is to die for.

  5. something to go on the wish list, I use the restorative after getting it in March’s Glossybox. Love the fact that it tamed my fizz but I need so little, this sounds divine! x

Big hair oil fan! This looks great.

Is it just me, or does this look like a delicious ice lolly? It makes me want to try it even more.
