NYX At Harrods

I’ve had lots of comments that USA brand NYX at Harrods seems an odd match. I’ve spoken now with the press office at Harrods and have some clarification about the situation. Harrods are mainly taking higher price point items from NYX such as the Snapshot case and other large make up kits and palettes, but prices don’t differ apparantly from what you’d pay in the US. The Glitterati Palette pictured is £18, The Luxury Brush Set is £85 and the Snapshot Travel Case that folds out into a stand up make up artist station, complete with lightbulbs is £425.

    I am baffled????

Could they not have brought over MUFE instead?

  2. oh that makes sense now! but i agree with the blogger above, MUFE would have been a better choice. I would like to see NYX in superdrugs or boots though =)

  3. OK this kinda makes more sense.
Agree with above poster though, MUFE would be so much more awesome!

  4. I NEED that palette! At £18 it’s a steal! 🙂

^ i second old cow’s opinion…MUFE seems like a better decision. NYX is mainly low end….so..im guessig they’re not going to have alot of products?

Totally agree with old cow – been dying to get my hands on some of their HD foundation!

Anyone strolling through Harrods looking to buy a gift for a budding young makeup artist will definitely consider buying this brand.Personally,if I was in Harrods I would invest in MAC but some mums, dads or grannies may prefer to pay less and get more product.
Theres definitely a market for a less expensive PRO-looking makeup range and maybe this is it, plus it comes in the most famous shopping bag.
And as for Harrods just taking the higher price point SKU’s,in my opinion they’re just testing the water and playing it safe.

Ugh. Even though it makes more sense, it feels a bit odd to only sell the more “high end” NYX products.
I was really excited, but now I doubt that I will make a detour and hit Harrods when I go shopping in London next time. The single e/s, jumbo pencils and blushes would have been way more exciting.

The Glitterati palette seems pretty well priced seeing as it costs $12 dollars so it’s not too much. I still think they’re missing a trick by putting it in Harrods.
