If you’re suddenly finding yourself in the mood for floral fragrances because of bluer skies and (for some) the departure of the wintery weather, you may be interested in the new, more floral version of Mon Guerlain. Last year’s arrival of Mon Guerlain was a full on ode to vanilla (Guerlain uses Tahintensis Vanilla, also found in Shalimar, Habit Rouge and Jicky), Mon Guerlain Eau De Parfum Florale puts vanilla in the back row and lets the flowers shine.
However, vanilla is still very much present, there is no doubting that, so if you don’t like vanilla, I can say straight away that it’s not for you. It’s quite an airy fragrance once it settles but also a little heady with a power dose of jasmine – it’s powdery and sweet with a hint of lavender at the opening. The thing about it is that it’s not challenging – definitely a commercial composition – and therefore an easy wear that’s very spring-like and pretty. You can find it HERE for £37.25 (It’s FeelUnique and they have a 22% off promotion – it’s the lowest price I could fine).
