Miss Manga Mascara

Oh, wait a minute! There’s never been a clearer sign that brands are bringing Asian influence mainstream (except, er, BB creams, but I’ll move on) with this Kawaii inspired mascara from L’Oreal Paris.

As you might expect, it’s all about mega volume and colour intensity and I like that they’ve played with colour and not just stuck to black – you’ll be able to pick up Miss Manga Mascara in Pop Violet and Tropical Turquoise. Maybe a bit of both on lashes would be fabulous? A key part of the Manga look is volume on top AND bottom lashes – like doll eyes – most of us probably do this already, but the Manga look is a magnified one. So, do what you do, but do it more! The brush is nicely flexible with a properly bendy section in the middle and advice is to use the tip of the brush to coat bottom lashes.

Miss Manga Mascara will be £8.99 when it launches in the New Year.

Seeing this concept from L’Oreal makes me really happy! Yep, I would love to be a manga character.

Look forward to giving this a try when it comes out. Loving the Maybelline Rocket Volume right now but always up for trying something new!

it is a VERY BAD mascara!! i have it , it launched in sweden 4 month ago already, i went for this cute packaging. lashes are glued together ( not manga style) , brush is a nightmare..

Love the brush inself, love the effect but hate-hate-hate the flexible part of the brush, didn’t get the idea at all. The brush is way too flexible, so it is very difficult for me to really brush the lashes through properly, because it’s moving all the time.. But my imho only, so definitely give it a try! The effect is actually really good.

  6. Its true about the clumping – but you can get some pretty dramatic lashes. I’ve put my full review & before and after pics on my blog if you want to see? mybeautopia.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/loreal-miss-manga-mascara-review.html
