[unpaid/sample] Reusable cleansing pads are such a good idea – we’ve had decades of cotton wool so they feel somewhat counter-intuitive (I’ve so nearly put my reusables in the bin straight after cleansing because it turns out that years of brain training to do this exact thing is quite strongly imprinted!) but once you get used to them, they’re absolutely fine. I must admit, I prefer to use them for skin cleansing rather than make-up removal – there’s no getting rid of some stains because make-up is made to last and while I accept that use makes them lose their pristine appearance, it’s just not the same as the brand, spanking new ones. So, that said, Mille Saisons Silk Face Pads feature a black version which is my absolute favourite because it doesn’t show a thing! I still use my beloved Washi Cloths (HERE) for balm cleansing but if you’re super sensitive even the most lightly abrasive cotton texture can be too much.
These pads are a mix of silk and cotton – cotton on the inside and silk on the outside. One side is a crepe de chine and the other is silk satin. Give them a quick rinse post cleanse – micellar waters are lovely with these – and let them dry out. You can wash in the machine at 40 degrees. Nobody has mentioned it but I wonder if these would be nice for babies – washing their hair and body skin?
I know I’ve said it before but a Mille Saisons hair scrunchie is a thing of loveliness – I veer between Invisibobble and Mille Saisons for tying my hair up at night to make sure I don’t end up with a crumpled tresses in the morning. I mean, my hair is naturally curly so there’s always a bit of altering to do but it’s minimized. Anyway, the silk pads (in varying shades) are £18 for three HERE.
