Milk Hydro Grip Primer Pre-Game Pack

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Hmmm, pre-game? I think if you know what the game is, you’re exactly the customer that Milk is hoping for. I actually don’t know, and despite not speaking Gen Z, I’m not going to let it stop me from liking one of the best glow primers I’ve come across.

You’ll either be a glow primer person or you won’t. Focusing first on the Mini Hydro Grip and Glow Primer – it’s a blend of Hydro Grip regular primer (hyaluronic, niacinamide, aloe, hemp seed and blue agave) but with added highlight for luminosity. If you’re not happy with shimmers on your face, this definitely isn’t the product for you, but if you’re in a world where everyone sparkles, this smooth feel Grip & Glow sits under your base and gives you more radiance using tiny little twinkles. If you have a sequin dress, this is the perfect partner for it.

Party season is the one time when I’d consider using a primer because if you’ve made the effort to do a beautiful and special make-up, you want it to last the night. When I first opened the pack, I thought I was looking at a highlighter and primer set but no, they’re both primers – one for day and one for night maybe.

I’ve cheated for the sake of the photo and applied a streak over my cheek because that’s the only way for you to see a) the glow and b) the slight bronze tone. My skin has a light helping of self-tan so I am not sure this shade is right for very pale tones.

Trust me, your glow will not look like this! Again, this swatch is to get a good idea of the tone although I’m wondering if there is anything to stop you using it as a highlighter. I can’t think of anything. As you can see, it’s stuffed full of light reflecting pearl which is going to give you next level skin gleam, the only downside of which is the shimmer particles which I can actually see on my skin. I don’t want to sparkle but you may feel differently and it entirely depends upon your environment – I am close up to the magnifying mirror so of course I can see them but I very much doubt that, unless you are up close and personal to someone with a magnifying glass, anyone else will notice. It’s pretty, it’s glamifying and it’s lustreful – it cannot be that just Gen Z would love it? The set is £25 HERE, oh, and enjoy the game!
