[affiliate/ad] I’ve got a black cashmere zip-up hoodie that I have literally worn to holes because I wear it so often. I bought it in Biarritz when we (accidentally) discovered it was some sort of last day of summer sale – all the shops had brought their products out onto the street and were selling in the sunshine. So, I’ve been on the hunt for a new one before there is more hole than hoodie. Turns out, a zip-up cashmere hoodie is very hard to find! They’re either prohibitively expensive (£1,179 – no thanks) OR they’re not zip up. Argh. Anyway, I thought I’d flag up what I’ve found in case you’re feeling like it’s the cosiness you need. It’s actually literally just one (M&S has one but it’s sold out in all but the smallest size).. who knew hoodies were the hen’s teeth of knitwear.
Me + Em’s Iconic Cashmere Hoodie is cute and simple, with 6 colours available, including black – yay!
Naturally, I’ve veering towards this one. The boxy cut means that it’s just really flattering on everyone because that bit of looseness skims over the midriff so nicely. Personally, I like to have something other than a round neck finish near my neck – a V neck or collar or even, in this case, it naturally falls to a slight V and the lie of the hood means there’s just something more than a round.
This is the back – it’s got a bit of a sporty feel to it so I can fake post-work out any time I feel like it but also think it’s handy for yoga warm ups. The six colours it comes in are Oatmeal, Black, Silver Grey, Cream, Charcoal and Sage (shown above).
I like Me + Em generally, but haven’t forgiven them for stopping their collared layering T-shirts. They have a sale section on the site – look out for the Lace Cami HERE reduced from £150 to £48. Otherwise, the Cashmere Hoodies are £225 HERE. Sizing is Small or M/L I think what I really like about this hoodie is that it’s an every-age, every eventuality kind of a piece – the site has it styled under a blazer and it looks really good with a skirt – shove it over a maxi dress or even your pyjamas. I like anything with versatility and this has it over and over.
