Maybelline Super Stay Teddy Tint Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Teddy Tint has almost broken the internet in Asia and now it has its time to shine in the UK. Inspired by K Beauty (as most things are now), Teddy Tint is a blurred matte finish and feels extremely lightweight and balmy on the lips. I’m generally not a fan of matte finishes, especially for my lips whose default setting is dry but while I miss the smoothing look of shine, Teddy Tint is really rather lovely. Secretly thrilled, btw, with the teddy ear head band 😉

It’s sort of a diffused look where lips appear blurry. I’ve seen this called ‘fog lips’ from an Asian brand and that kind of gives a very good visual of the effect. Fog lips certainly isn’t as catchy as Teddy Tint but it tells you about the plushy haze very well. If you hear Gen Y using the expression ‘cloud lips’ you now know what it is.

There are eight shades – I have Petal Core, Skinny Dip and Current Mood of which Petal Core is the clear winner and it’s in the main picture.

This is Skinny Dip

This is Current Mood

Teddy Lips carries a 12 hour wear claim – it would last 12 minutes on me. The balmy feel isn’t conducive to last but thankfully the obsession with last seems to be over. It’s the deal with any lip product that you will need to reapply – last is measured by beauty brands to the last traces so a 12 hour last could mean that there is a tiny trace left which is very different from a full lip look. You don’t (in my opinion) want a colour that is so indestructible that it bolts to your lips for the whole day. Reapplying is easy and far less aggressive.

Teddy Tint is £11.95 HERE.
