[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] A new mascara is always such a pleasure – that inky smell and perfect distribution always puts a smile on my face. I was recently sent the new Maybelline Firework Mascara which I’d got on my list of new products to try so I was very happy to see it.
It’s an exceptionally deep black – maybe too black for some if your lashes are on the paler side – with the USP being the brush flexibility. I used it over the weekend and was very happy with the last – there was no smudging or flaking but a little bit of fade by the end of the day (it was a long old day). What I really like about it is that it doesn’t make your lashes feel hard – the whole experience is soft, soft, soft.
If anything, the brush flexibility (you could bend the head of it right over with your finger if you wanted to) makes application feathery light so you barely feel it going on. It occurred to me that it might be good for people like my daughter, Lucy, who can’t bear anything near her eyes because you need nowhere near the ‘push’ of a normal mascara. It’s £12.99 HERE which I feel is a great price for something so intense and lash defining as this. Good job, Maybelline!
