I’ve managed to get hold of a bottle of Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid Touch Foundation – it’s not available in the UK yet, having only launched recently in the US. It’s an interesting product – not as silicone-y in feel as L’Oreal Eau de Teint, but along similar lines and coverage is semi-matte I would say. The closest in texture that I can compare it to is YSL Fusion Ink.

Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid Touch Foundation has a similar ‘dropper’ style applicator – I have shade Sandy Beige which is perfect for my slightly tanned skin at the moment.

Obviously, Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid Touch Foundation is going to be a fraction of the price of YSL Fusion Ink at $9.99, and they’re really very similar.

The two formulas, side by side – Maybelline is the first, YSL the second. I think it’s very, very close to a dupe. L’Oreal are known for cascading their formulas which is a good thing if you’re on a budget and if you’ve been hesitating about purchasing Fusion Ink, I’d say hang fire until this launches (unfortunately, I don’t have a launch date yet). If you can’t wait, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with Fusion Ink – it’s one of the best foundations I’ve ever used.
