Mavala The Yummy Colours Summer 2024

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’ll happily try any shade of nail polish (partly, it’s my job to do so) but my default is always a coral or orange shade. Luckily, Mavala’s summer line-up includes just such a colour with Yummy Mango and I know it’s going to be on my toes very shortly. There’s also a ‘matcha’ type shade that is suddenly booming into our sightlines – everyone’s wearing this particular shade of creamy green.

I don’t know if I can cast you back to the year 2000 and the London Olympics – I suddenly got the Olympic vibes from the last three colours. Everyone had their nails red, white and blue and nail brands (all brands actually) were fighting for page space to show how present they were. I’m hazy on the details because it was 14 years ago, but one brand got another brand’s credit for a Union Jack nail design on a famous athlete in one of the bigger papers and all hell broke loose. Ah, those were the days :-). So, from left to right: Yummy Pomelo, Yummy Matcha, Yummy Mango, Yummy Coco, Yummy Berry and Yummy Diabolo.

And here they are on the wheel : Yummy Pomelo, Yummy Matcha, Yummy Mango, Yummy Coco, Yummy Berry and Yummy Diabolo. You can find all the shades for £5.96 HERE. I don’t know another brand like Mavala where you can buy just a season’s worth of colour. I love having lots of nail colours but they don’t all hit the spot and I know they’ll never be fully used up – I think the last full size nail polish I used up was a Kure Bazaar shade called Cappuccino preceded by Rouge Noir but otherwise, I’d be hard pushed to name another I used to the very last drop.
