[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] There are some beautiful seasonal offerings from L’Occitane and I’m starting with the new Almond & Flowers Shower Oil. Much as I greatly prefer a bath, a shower is always very much cheered by the addition of something lovely. Who else hates a shower cap? I can’t. The Almond & Flowers is very much like plain almond but there’s a kind of lightness to it that I really like – just a drift of blossoms that freshens it up so nicely. If you’ve never used the Almond Shower Oil, it’s an oil to milk wash that leaves your skin feeling smoothed and softer. You don’t need much at all so it’s £19.50 HERE well spent I think to bring some motivation to the morning shower.
Next up is the joyously fluffy Shea Butter Ultra Light Body Cream in the Sparkling Leaves version. As a general rule I’m not in favour of moussy stuff because you’re paying for air, however, this really is so nice to use especially if you love texture and something a bit different. I’d say that if you need intense moisture, it’s not the one for you, but if just a light moisture is what you need, it’s perfect.
It’s cool as it goes onto the skin – it almost feels wet – but takes virtually no working in. The fragrance is slightly floral but ever so light – it’s supposed to be inspired by a walk through Provencal olive fields but since I’ve never taken a stroll through those, I’ve really no idea! At £34.50 I think it’s quite expensive (the air!!!) but in terms of pleasant to use, everything is ticked. You can find it HERE.
You cannot go wrong with a L’Occitane hand cream – I wonder how many tubes have been sold over the years. I neglect my hands – or at least, I go through phases of neglect – and then get re-inspired to look after them properly when I spot something lovely to use. This has a powdery, amber fragrance with green notes (olive again) and it’s a light format so good for day to day protection rather than remedial action. It’s £22 for 150ml which feels reasonable to me for a luxury product – you can find it HERE.
