Liz Earle Bath & Body Collection for 2014

Liz Earl Shower
Liz Earl Shower Nectar

This is going the make the army of Liz Earle fans very happy! A whole body range, with Shower Nectars (above), Melting Sugar Body Scrub, Silky Body Lotion and Indulgent Body Butter. The formulations are beautiful; they’ve got a high concentration of fragrance though so if you like no-scent, this isn’t for you.

The three fragrance ranges are Tiare & Jasmine, Bergamot & Ginger and Vanilla & Saffron. When I tried them out, the strangest thing happened.. I could smell Bergamot & Ginger and Vanilla & Saffron but my nose just couldn’t pick up Tiare & Jasmine. I have absolutely no clue why this is, because I am assured that it’s a very distinctive and tropical scent. So, I accept that my nose went on strike for no reason! And it’s the fragrance created by Olivier Cresp, too. Sad times. Proper ‘noses’ have been brought in on this range so you will get a bang for your buck. Speaking of bucks, not many of them for this quality – the shower nectars are priced at £12.50.

I think maybe all the money went into the product rather than the packaging because it’s really not the greatest. It’s all a little bit too dark and plasticky, and given that Liz Earle is founded on botanicals, I think there was much better inspiration to use. Still, I don’t doubt that this will sell and sell because from what I can tell everything sells at Liz Earle. This is a brand with fans like almost no other.

You’ll be able to buy it from March – I’d recommend the Melting Sugar Scrub – sublime!

Not sure what to make of these. . Am hoping there isnt too much influence from Avon here. This isnt the packaging I would expect from Liz Earle, having been an avid fan for over 15 years. Is the fragrance very highly scented, would love it to smell natural and botanical and not artificial. Thats the impression I get from the packaging though Thank you for being the first to let us into this big secret. There have been mentions of new things for 2014 so these must be the products. X

It is quite highly scented.. and they’ve brought perfumers in to create them – however, they do smell lovely although I think it would be an individual call on whether they smell truly natural. I’d say not.
