Lisa Eldridge Kitten Mascara Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’ve been really looking forward to reviewing Lisa Eldridge’s first ever mascara, Kitten Mascara. If anyone knows about mascara, it’s Lisa – after years of working with multiple brands she’s in prime position to create her dream product in this area. I believe her when she says it’s taken years of trials and formulas to get it exactly as she wants it.

My mascara came with some complementary stickers so I’ve made good use of them by immediately attaching the kitten one to my mascara. It seems that Lisa’s goal with this formula was to create a mascara that gives finely defined, weightless lashes with one coat all the way through to full and fluffy with more coats. The brush has a perfect curve to hug the lash line and the bristles are short so that you can get the full root to tip sweep – and you can. I’ve definitely got very good separation and lash definition with Lisa Eldridge Kitten Mascara and even after a long, damp and windy dog walk, my lashes stayed exactly as they’d started the day.

I feel really happy with this mascara – especially the longevity and the fanning. This is not even a precision application because who has time – I imagine I could get it even more sweeping with some effort but I need a day to day mascara that I don’t need to spend time on but rather just brush-and-go. It’s £29 which is at the top end but the results are as good as I’d hoped they would be so it’s a big tick! You can find the Lisa Eldridge Kitten Mascara HERE.

You look great using this mascara! I think you used one coat (or did I imagine you saying that?), in which case the results are impressive: very dark and spiky/long.

I foolishly bought LE’s mascara and liquid liner immediately when they went on sale (actually on pre sale to the “Emeralds” frequent buyer club, of which I am a somewhat abashed member), knowing that I already had an open tube of Fenty Hella Thicc mascara–purchased on your recommendation, and you were right on about it, thank you!–on the go. I do not want to “waste” LE’s mascara by opening it too soon, so it has just been sitting top down in my makeup box until the Fenty dries up. But now, after your review, I am tempted to use it.

Also, I love LE’s liquid liner. The pen nib is so fine and is extremely simple for me to use. I make a teeny tiny flick, that part is not a big deal for me. I like the liner mainly to add definition to my eyes and lashes.

It’s more or less one coat in the way that you do tend to go over again just automatically – but it’s purposely not built up if you see what I mean. I’d hang fire on opening it – it should be good for a few months at least – keep it in the cool and the dark. Glad you love Hella Thicc – it’s a different beast to LE but my goodness it gives good lash!

VERY excited about this, just order it and the new Skin Enhancing Tint.

I’m looking forward to the skin tint!! I didn’t really get along with the foundation so I’m very curious about this.

Yep, it’s totally fab! Got mine about couple weeks ago – amazing… they all fall out on me, even that tube-like one from Heimish (first two weeks were good), but this just stays put! And fanning/curling! Still wanna see how long it will last, but it’s the best I ever tried. Ever. Including (more expensive) Chanel and Chantecaille. Lisa forever! 🙂

Of course Lisa was going to get it right first go! She doesn’t do anything half heartedly :-). I’ve just started to use one of her kohls in a deep grey and love it – will be posting in due course!

Oh, Cinder Smoke pencil? Yes, Jane, tell us ALL about it – that’s the color I’m thinking of right now (together with that Renaissance gold one). Meanwhile I got her new skin enhancing tint – and it’s exactly what I was hoping for: sheer invisible blurring and evening the tone (her foundation is a bit too heavy for me – makes fab photos, not cakey at all… but I feel it on me, alas..). And the new lip sculpting pencil is super (and it comes with a sharpener! Black sharpener with gold Lisa’s logo! *wiggles brow*)… Awwwh, spring is lovely this year, huh? 🙂 Now I want blush! Lisa, if you hear this…

yes Cinder Smoke! Will give it its own post I think soon. I’m looking forward to trying the tint.

I love this mascara too. I’m a big fan of everything Lis Eldridge has brought out so far but I usually stick to tubing mascaras because everything goes ‘panda eyes’ on me. However, the initial run of this was out to lunch with friends and I have to say, it stood up to the job! I’m looking forward to more testing.

Oh that’s great to know! I’m really happy with it.

I’m definitely going to try this after I’ve got through my current stash of mascaras. I have difficulty finding mascara that holds curl – unless I buy waterproof. Apparently this one is good at doing that. We will see! Emma x

to be honest, I didn’t test it for curl – I just don’t curl my lashes but someone was urging me to give it a go the other day.
