La Roche Posay Serozinc

Remember when the most covetable French pharmacy product, Bioderma Crealine (now Sensibio), launched in the UK? It would not stay in stock! It was one of the cult products that make up artists swore by to cleanse and soothe model skin between shows and became very covetable in the UK. Now it’s here, we’re happier in beauty world for it.

So, the next most wanted? La Roche Posay Serozinc (above). It’s at the beginning of the skin-care-must-have explosion that Bioderma turned into. So, what does it do? La Roche Posay Serozinc is a zinc sulfate solution, mild enough to be used on a baby’s bum post change to soothe hot and sore skin and it’s the same for adult skin (you could of course use it on your bum if you want but that’s not what I’m suggesting it for here!) and it’s great for those who get irritations post shave – any area, men or women.

At the same time, it seems to help prevent breakouts, so is an excellent daily spray before your moisturiser and foundation and will add a little hydration as well.

Why aren’t we all rushing to buy? Because it’s not stocked in the UK. What?! However, it’s pretty easily available on Ebay (you don’t want to be paying more than about £12 for it) but there is a site HERE that stocks and sends to the UK and the price is £9.06.

I think Serozinc is really good too. After a search on the web I came across Farmaline and bought my first one from them recently and was happy with their service.

Hmmm…interesting and impressive. This seems like a great product to try out. I’ll say this to my daughter since she is very frightened of having breakouts so she is really looking for a product that could help her and I think this is the one.

All it contains is water, sodium chloride (salt) then zinc sulphate. I have Google’d zinc sulphate extensively, and I can’t find any info detailing its benefits for the skin. Apparently it is used as a cosmetic astringent and biocide, so I’m not quite sure how this product would add moisture or help razor burn, although it might go some way in preventing breakouts…

  5. Another LRP covetable I’ll have to stock up on if I find myself in Paris. Canada is finally getting Cicaplast Baume next month; who knows how long it’ll take for this to swing over? Thanks for the heads-up. Ooh, it’ll be the new best-souvenir-gift-ever from Paris-bound friends!

  6. OMG! i am so annoyed. I live in Ireland right? and they do not sale Bioderma here at all and now I am reading about La Roche Posey product that I wud love to try but I am sure it will not be sold in Ireland eirther!!! The other day I went to buy micellar solution and the only one I cud get was L’oreal one which is crap! I always buy Bioderma in Poland when i go to visit family but now I run out and I have no chance of buying it any time soon. I seriously don’t know what to use to remove my maekup( i hate all kinds of cleansers or milks )
