[unpaid/sample] I love that Kure Bazaar only issues a couple of new shades per season – I like the confidence of pared back releases and rarely dislike the colours. It’s one of my favourite nail polish brands and nine times out of ten, I’ll be wearing a Kure shade. This season’s shades are Matcha Latte and Amethyst.
Amethyst has something about the marron glace to it – this amplified taupe has tiny shimmers that will catch the sunlight but otherwise stay quiet. This is a very easy wear colour for anyone who wants a neutral with a twist.
I could have sworn that this creamy green shade was going to be called Pistachio something, but it’s not – it’s Matcha Latte. It’s very slightly more creamy than Chanel Jade, which back in 2009, caused a stampede to the shops, not long after Rouge Noir had caused equally rushed scenes – so this is not a soft green’s first rodeo but it’s not as easy to wear as Amethyst. You have to set out with intent for a quirky nail shade.
I’ll be happy to wear both – these are such creamy, shiny polishes that use (up to) 90% bio-sourced (meaning from organic products such as plants) ingredients such as bamboo and vitamin E. I can’t say I truly notice any difference to my nails from wearing it but it’s hard and long wearing with a beautiful consistency and the right size brush. What more to say?! You can find the new shades for £16 each HEre.
