[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Like several Gen Z targeted brands, Kosas has accidentally made a great brand for Gen X and Boomers. Gen Z prefers a less-is-more approach and so do we! The thing about these brand new marbled blushers is that they’re being introduced to an audience who is seeing them for the first time. Baked blushers are not new – Bourjois has been baking since 1879 – and neither are marbled blushers but both are going to look interesting to Gen Z who have rejected the brief fling with extreme glow highlighters made famous by YouTubers and Bloggers and are heading to a much more natural and skin compatible look.

So, where Kosas differs from earlier forays into marbling and baking is the inclusion of squalane and hyaluronic acid and the exclusion of talc. These blushes feel anything but dry and dusty on the skin. They’re majorly pigmented so a little goes a long way and they’re in colours that are inclusive and easy to wear. I’m not at all a powder blush fan but can easily make an exception here because of the silkiness and ease of application. I can’t warn you strongly enough to just whisper your brush across the marbled surface – it’s easy to add more but impossible to remove too much.

For my skin tone, the more peachy and neutral shades are perfect (Dreamland) – if you are deeper toned you can so happily wear the orange and pink tones such as Thrill and Adrenaline. There’s a ‘lit’ quality to them that will not only ‘lift’ your complexion but will also give a ray of light with glow not glitter.
