I’m so relieved to receive a candle that’s nothing to do with Christmas! In beautyland, your whole world is Christmas from pretty much July and August onwards so I’m surrounded by all things festive. However, although the Kaffe Fassett Achillea Candle would be a lovely gift, if you’re not quite in the mood for something that’s not happening for two months but still need a treat-to-self or a gift, then this is a gorgeous thing.
Kaffe Fassett Achillea CandleI’ll be completely honest and say that you’re buying into the look more than the fragrance. It’s not as big a scent as the outer wrapping would suggest; it’s a gentle blend of bergamot, orange blossom, musk and oleander as something very pretty just touching at the atmosphere.
Candle brands, on the whole, whack a lot of perfume into their candles and there is no means of adjusting the level other than blowing the candle out which then gets rid of the glow. So, in fact, while I think there has been a bit of scrimping on the level of fragrance, for many people it will be just the right amount. I think though that your eyes will have more fun than your nose – I know that long after the wax has gone, I’ll be keeping the joyful Kaffe Fassett Achillea Candle just to look at the jar.
It’s £22 HERE.
