Japonesque Lipstick Palette Kit

I haven’t grabbed something out of a PR’s hand in such haste for a while – I absolutely love this neat little kit, £13.99, from Japonesque that lets you mix up a lipstick palette that is exactly to requirements.

Simply slice of a portion of your lipstick from your existing favourites, pop in the microwaveable bowl and cook for a nano second until your lipstick is pourable. Then tip into the palette and let it harden again. It’s just that simple. I know in theory you don’t really ‘need’ a kit to do this, but I love the idea that everything you need is in this set if you do want to try mixing things up a little – I’m definitely going to try it. It’s a brilliant idea for holidays or just having the a full set of choices in your handbag without having to fill space with lots of different lippies. Fab.

John Lewis carries a selection of Japonesque but not everything: I’m told distribution will be much more widespread in the near future.

Genius! I’m suprised this has taken so long – I usually make my own tinted lipbalms by mixing favourite lipsticks with vaseline and heating, with or without a touch of gloss. They will usually melt on a radiator too! Its really good when you find a lipstick too drying.

  2. Wow im not surprised you jumped at the chance for this. Looks gorgeous and great idea xx

  3. I love the look of this! It allows you to play with makeup instead of just buying it all the time 😀

Great for using up the last bit of lipstick left in the bullet that you usually need a brush to get out!

  5. This is such a good idea, but I would have to wait until my lipstick is at the end of it’s life as I couldn’t bring myself to massacre a brand new Chanel lipstick!

I’m not sure what to think about this. All these years I’ve been labouring under the impression that heat and cosmetics are not a good combo. I suppose it doesn’t matter with leftover bits tho.

OMG what a fantastic idea! I’m forever mixing up lipsticks on top of each other – this would make things a lot easier! Thank you for bringing it to my attention! X

Love this idea. If you teamed this lip stick palette and the Front Cover to go palettes, you are pretty much sorted for your holidays! x
