I’ve got my hands on a few more It Cosmetics products (currently not available in the UK). I’m so impressed and I think that the Bye Bye Under Eye ($24) is quite honestly the best under eye concealer I’ve used.
For a start, it’s proper coverage – none of this ‘real skin’ aka ‘no pigment’ nonsense about it – it really has solid coverage. But, it’s in such a creamy consistency that there is no dragging or dryness.. I’d say it’s a bit like putting a moisturiser on in terms of texture. So, it genuinely does conceal, and other than one slight crease, it doesn’t go into lines or cake easily at all. The only reason I had a tiny crease of product I think is because I put too much on initially. For people with more mature skin or dry skin, this stuff is an absolute blessing. However, if you’ve got oily skin, I’d caution that you will probably need a setting powder to go with it. Skin isn’t normally oily under the eyes, but if you are prone, that’s just a heads up.
In the swatch the Bye Bye Under Eye is the top one – I needed to shake it and didn’t but have left it as is because you can see what I mean about it being creamy – it has a lot of liquid. The other swatch is the It Cosmetics CC Cream (in Medium) and costs $38. Again, amazing coverage – absolutely incredible, and it also contains a hydrating serum. I had the softest skin all day long that looked even and dewy. However, you don’t need a lot of moisturiser underneath – only something light, if anything, because otherwise you will shine a bit. It’s got 50+ UVA and UVB and if you can possibly get hold of either, do it!
We are definitely going to see more of this brand.. it’s on QVC stateside so the quicker we get it here, the better. In fact, every time I look at the website, there seem to be more products, from coverage to cheek and eye colours so it’s looking like a pretty comprehensive range. It’s also adored by US bloggers almost universally so that tells you all you need to know!
