More goodness from Illamasqua, this time for International Season. If you don’t know what that is, and you aren’t London based, I’ll explain. International Season is when traditionally, Middle Eastern travellers come to London to escape the heat (at least, that’s what I’ve always understood it to be). This usually happens around July/August time and let’s just say it’s a very healthy time for the UK beauty industry – for some brands, International Season takes more revenue than Christmas. In London, particularly, it’s very obvious when the pavements are swollen with thousands more people than usual.
Illamasqua’s new Gleam, Mirage, is part of a collection specifically for Illamasqua International Season that also includes a new Sculpting Duo, new Brow Gel and a new lipstick (Bare, seen in yesterday’s post).
Because I’m pale olive toned, Mirage is lovely on my skin – a peachy ‘gleam’ of illuminator. I did notice that it leaves a little trace of glitter behind after the colour has faded away which isn’t my favourite thing, I must admit, but as a quick slick for glowy cheeks, I like it. All the Illamasqua International Season products launch on 31st of July and are exclusive to Selfridges.
