Oh, I am loving the look of the upcoming Illamasqua Facets Palettes! Above is Aura, a smoky neutral look.

The palette includes Gleam Cream in Aurora, Powder Blush in Tremble, Eye Brow Cake in Thunder, Cream Pigment in Hollow and four Powder Shadows in Vision, Feint, Servant and Machine.

Semblance is the second Illamasqua Facets Palette – slightly warmer I think but still focussing on smokey.

In the Semblance Palette is Gleam Cream in Mirage, Powder Blush in Hussy, Eye Brow Cake in Thunder, Cream Pigment in Hollow and four shadows in Slink, Dizzy, Tango and Obsidian.

Samples are on their way so as soon as I get them, I’ll be swatching. The Illamasqua Facets Palettes are £45 each and launch from 10th October. Look out too for some firsts from Illamasqua – a make up bag and a brush set.

Oh wow, this has got my name all over it – I’ve been wanting aurora, hollow and tremble for ages and here they all are in one palette with some lovely matte shadows too – I’m completely sold!

  2. While I really like the look of this palette, I can’t help but wonder if Illamasqua have lost their way a little bit. It’s pretty and extremely wearable, but it’s also extremely safe. Where is the excitement? Where is the random red eye shadow shot through with blue shimmer or the lavender blush? Where’s the old Illamasqua that wasn’t afraid to stand out?

I thought that too – yes they have gone more mainstream I agree.

  3. Looks so pretty!

    It’s a bit Bobbi Brown.

I agree with Chrissy, I was surprised to see how plain the promotional image is, I did a double take looking for the usual Illamasqua “strangeness”, but to no avail, and I was certainly disappointed.
On the other hand, as much as I like their vision, I’ve never bought any of their “out there” products or shades. I suppose it’s hard to be rule-breaking & still commercially viable at the same time? I do like the second palette though, and the price is decent, considering you’re just missing the lipstick to do a full face.

So many useful shades in there!! Love the look of this 🙂

  7. I wonder if the brow powder will match me, but everything in this palette looks so functional! I usually don’t like creams and powders to mix, but I think I would use every shade!
