Okay, as sumptuous things go, this is up there for the most-sumptuous award. It’s a sneaky peek at the Illamasqua Design By You Box containing ten Illamasqua bottles just waiting for varnish that you’ve designed and devised yourself. Can’t ever find the perfect red? Now’s your chance. Want to gift 9 of your friends with polish made by you? It’s possible!
There are only ten of these available at Selfridges at £350 per box (but not til Christmas time). But it’s more of an experience really – Director of New Product Development at Illamasqua, David Horne, will help you to create your own shade. Three meetings with David over a period of time will see your design become a reality. There’s also an Alex Box box (gettit?) for sale where you can have time and a make-over with Alex herself, but I’ll have more details of that as time goes on.
So, it’s the ultimate Illamasqua fan gift or experience, really. And, I imagine you get the added bonus of seeing how complex it is to create a colour from scratch. I guess as well, that you can also name your colour, since it’s yours.
