I Heart Revolution Fruity Bath Fizzers

I Heart Revolution Fruity Bath Fizzers

I bought these cheap and cheerful bath fizzers from Superdrug when I was last in store – I’ve had a bit of a craving for them since I tried a Westlab bath bomb a couple of weeks ago after not having fizzed up my bath for literally years! I just liked the look of these for being bright and fun – and a kind of temporary installment in my bathroom.

They’re madly fizzy, if not highly scented – I think I like looking at them more than I like bathing in them :-). But, they will certainly make you smile and that’s a good way to start a bath.

If anyone remembers The Body Shop’s little animal bath pearls and what an absolute thrill they were (when you’re 11 and live in the wilds of Scotland at least) I got a little sliver of that nostalgia.  I saw a very haughty conversation a while back on Twitter about the infantilisation of beauty products – today could not be a better example of it – but really the ‘kawaii’ movement has depth and cultural meaning that mostly people don’t bother to look at. That aside, if something is making you smile, be it a fizzy pineapple or a luxury melt, it’s done half the job. I won’t be moved from my flamingo lipstick case or a bunny ear lip gloss. The I Heart Revolution Fruity Bath Fizzers are (I think) £2.50 each at Superdrug.

I used to love the animal shaped bath pearls when I was a child. It must be over 30 years since I last saw things like that in the shops. I think they should bring them back, I know I would buy them again.

I don’t mind my bath bombs being infantilised at all, I just want to throw a cute shaped fizzy thing in my bath. And I’d love the return of The Body Shop bath pearls. I’m sure there’s a potential Body Shop experience pop up idea in bringing back their 90s classics and doing a retro pick’n’mix theme

      Oh what a great idea!
