Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I completely rejected the idea of ‘baking’ as a beauty concept. It’s not new but if you haven’t heard of it, it’s a way to set your make up using powder. So, the idea is that you apply your foundation and concealer over a primer and then use fine milled powder to set the look before brushing off any excess. The theory is that the heat from your face helps the makeup melt into your skin while the powder absorbs excess oil. It’s way too much effort for me for other than the rarest of occasions.

Huda Beauty’s Easy Blur Foundation is the newest launch from this brand (and look! an older model!), inspired by Huda’s rejection of filters on Instagram. The ‘sexy’ ingredients are niacinamide (1.5%), silica for pore blurring and a gel consistency to make the high pigment foundation to feel light on the skin. I really don’t go high pigment any more but I really did want to try this so I followed the steps of Easy Blur Primer, Easy Blur Foundation and the best-selling Easy Bake Powder.

The shade I used in the Foundation is Custard and I really love that name – my face is covered in Custard – how funny! The Bake powder is in Cupcake.

I think overall, it’s not a look for me at all – it looks just too much but I can easily see how it translates to absolute glam. My skin looks flawless and velvety and just as it’s intended to be – pre-filtered. If you have something super-glam to go to or you just love looking glamourous and flawless (but made up) every day, it’s ticking the boxes there and of course, don’t forget that you don’t have to ‘bake’ – you can just wear the foundation as is and it’s ideal if you like a fuller coverage base. It’s mostly sold out at Sephora but Cult has it HERE for £32.

I got sent three shades so from bottom to top: Chai, Custard and Shortbread.
