Hourglass Extreme Sheen High Shine Lip Gloss isn’t the best name for a gloss that isn’t extreme sheen! It’s not really the mega-shine that the name implies, but nonetheless, it does walk the line between that super-slick look and a lovely, flattering sheen. I think gloss is appropriate at any age – it a does gorgeous, line-concealing, smoothing thing on the lips, but there does come a point where intense, gloopy shine maybe feels a little bit youthful (at least it does for me). Hourglass Extreme Sheen High Shine Lip Gloss is perfect for that feeling.
This new shade, Canvas, is a perfect pink-neutral shade – enough pigment that it won’t wash out your lips, but very sophisticated at the same time in a muted, pared back lip look.
I’m wearing it now and love it. I also like the fact that there are no parabens, sulfates of phthalates in the mix (I’m often allergic to gloss, but this is one I can wear with comfort) and it feels hydrating. The other plus of course, is that it doesn’t bleed readily.
Hourglass Extreme Sheen High Shine Lip Glosses are £21 each HERE. Canvas joins two other new shades, Ballet and Muse.
